One for Bani Ismail, and the another for Bani Israel.
Which Qibla he was facing for prayers
Quran supports single qibla only.which is in Saudi Arabia.
And building any other Qibla in Jerusalem is not supported by Quran
It is worth mentioning that Building another Qibla for Bani Israel is not mentioned anywhere in history, neither Muslim history nor Jewish history.
Why is there no Qibla in the Old Testament or Torah or Bible, but Islam has it. The ancient prophets prayed wherever they went and in which ever direction they wanted. Why OBJECTIFY worship, if God is fixed in one location isnt it imprisonment, idolatry?
Al-Baqarah 2:115
وَلِلّٰهِ الْمَشْرِقُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فَاَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوْا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اللّٰهِ ؕ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَاسِعٌ عَلِيْمٌ
اور مشرق اور مغرب کا مالک اللہ ہی ہے۔ تم جدھر بھی منھ کرو ادھر ہی اللہ کا منھ ہے[1] ، اللہ تعالیٰ کشادگی اور وسعت واﻻ اور بڑے علم واﻻ ہے۔
And Allah has the East and the West; so, wherever you turn around, (then) hence is the Face of Allah; surely Allah is Ever-Embracing, Ever-Knowing.
Yunus 10:87
وَاَوْحَيْنَاۤ اِلٰي مُوْسٰي وَاَخِيْهِ اَنْ تَبَوَّاٰ لِقَوْمِكُمَا بِمِصْرَ بُيُوْتًا وَّاجْعَلُوْا بُيُوْتَكُمْ قِبْلَةً وَّاَقِيْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ ؕ وَبَشِّرِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ
Qibla means as the point of focus or attention i.e. Markaz. But word is used in plural form it means that no single Qibla was established in Egypt and there are multiple Qiblas there.
The construction of word Qibla has also a mystery in itself.
Did Quran first time coined and used this word or it has any mentions in early Arabic literatures.
Collins dictionary explains the Arabic qíblah that which is placed opposite; related to qabala to be opposite.
There is not even a hint in Jewish religious and historical texts about when was Jerusalem started as a Qibla before construction of temple of Solomon.
However, when Bani Israel were in Egypt, They were ordered to make their homes as Qibla and maintain Salat, which is reflected in verse 87 of Surah Yunus.
If the Qibla of Bani Ishaq was in Jerusalem, Hazrat Moses and his companions would face Jerusalem for prayers but they were ordered to appoint their homes as qiblas.
It it’s also worth mentioning that Bani Israel were ordered to maintain a Qibla at the time of oppression.
In Jewish religious history, there is no specific mention of Prophet Abraham following a Qibla in the same way that it is defined in Islam. The concept of facing a specific direction during prayer, such as the Qibla in Islam, is not explicitly outlined in the Torah for Prophet Abraham.
The focus in Jewish tradition is often on the Temple in Jerusalem, and it is noted that the Holy of Holies within the Temple was a central point for prayer and divine connection. However, the idea of a specific Qibla with a designated direction is more characteristic of Islamic practice than Jewish tradition.
It means that there was nothing like Qibla maintained in Jerusalem before that time.
Moreover, nowhere it is mentioned that what happened to their multiple Qiblas.
Even the exact identification of these locations where Moses and Israelites lived is challenging in modern geography, but they are generally believed to be in the northeastern part of present-day Egypt.
Some scholars think that the destruction of Solomon's Temple of Jerusalem in 586 bce gave rise to synagogues after private homes were temporarily used for public worship and religious instruction.
Some Reform and Conservative Jewish congregations uses the Yiddish word shul which is derived from German Schule, “school”, for synagogue. But the word temple is common in modern times.
It transpires that original world Qibla was replaced with Greek word synagogue.
It is also clear that before temple of Solomon there were no Qibla for Jews.
And they were neither ordered by God to make Temple of Solomon as Qibla nor face it for prayers. It also reflects that you started facing Jerusalem after they were taken to Babel.
The wall which we find in Jerusalem are remains of the temple of Solomon, the present Jews worship while praying.
